P-40N NZ3184, No.2 April 1944
P-40N-5 NZ3184 “75”, served with No.2 Servicing Unit between December 1943 and May 1944. Flight Lieutenant F.J. Adams of No.16 (F) Sqn gained a probable kill over a “Zero” flying NZ3184 during a Rabaul fighter sweep.

P-40N NZ3259 “Leslie”, June 1944
P-40N-20 NZ3259 “Leslie”, was operated by No.2 Servicing Unit between May and June 1944. It was the highest serial number RNZAF P-40 to see combat in the Pacific. The name Leslie appeared on both sides of the nose. As the threat of combat with Japanese fighters diminished, unofficial rules regarding personal markings relaxed and nose art began to appear. This was always more subdued than on RNZAF Corsairs and American operated aircraft. NZ3259 is an example of the largest style of roundel bar seen on RNZAF P-40s and the most abbreviated style of white tail.

P-40N NZ3274, July 1944
P-40N-20 NZ3274“V”, served with No. 3 Servicing Unit at Ardmore between mid-May and mid-July 1944. It had the largest style of roundel bars and the most abbreviated white tail. Spinner is Sky.
